These terms are a general guide for services provided by Ink & Amber Studio. Each project is confirmed through a quote, proposal, or service agreement. That signed document controls the agreed scope, price, timing, payment, acceptance, ownership and any project-specific terms.
Services, scope and quotations
We provide web design, website development, managed hosting and related agreed services. A quote describes the work, assumptions, deliverables and costs for a particular project. Anything not included in that agreed scope—including substantial new pages, custom applications, ecommerce, complex integrations, large content entry, major copywriting, campaigns or redesigns—may need a separate written quote.
Approvals and client responsibilities
You are responsible for giving timely, accurate feedback, approvals, access, content, logos, images and other materials needed for the work. You confirm that you have the right to supply materials you provide. Delays in feedback, information, approvals or access can affect delivery timing and may require the project plan to be revisited.
Changes outside scope
We will explain material changes to the agreed scope before beginning them. A change may affect cost, timeline, technical approach or support requirements. We are not obliged to start out-of-scope work until the revised scope is agreed in writing.
Payment
Payment obligations, billing dates, deposits, recurring services and accepted payment methods are set out in the applicable quote, invoice or signed agreement. We may pause work or services where payment remains outstanding, subject to the applicable agreement and reasonable communication with you.
Third-party services
A project may use third-party providers for hosting, domains, email, software, analytics, licences or integrations. Their availability, pricing and terms are outside Ink & Amber's direct control. Third-party costs and renewals are handled as set out in the project agreement, and may be separately quoted or passed through where disclosed.
Intellectual property
Ownership and transfer of the completed website, designs, content and project materials are as agreed in the signed quote or service agreement. You keep ownership of your pre-existing materials. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, methods, reusable components and know-how unless the agreement says otherwise.
Launch, hosting and support
Launch and ongoing managed services depend on the agreed scope, approvals, access, payment and applicable third-party services. Managed hosting and care cover only the service level described in your agreement. Requests outside that allowance may be separately quoted. If hosting or support ends, any handover, transfer or offboarding work is handled under the project agreement or a separately agreed scope.
Suspension, termination and limitations
Either party may raise a need to pause or end a project or recurring service. We will seek a practical, documented resolution consistent with the signed agreement and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Ink & Amber is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, third-party outages, or loss caused by inaccurate, unlawful or unlicensed client materials. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
